What Causes Recurrent Diarrhea After Recovering From Infectious Gastritis?

I have always had stomach issues; especially when I was in my early thirties; I had infectious gastritis and I was told to always watch my food intake? Bland foods all the time; but just about everything gives me diarrhea; sometimes when I indulge I m fine and then other times it s just horrible! I was told from a doctor to eat gluten free foods; but that doesn t always work.....so I can have diarrhea at least once to twice every two weeks. So exhausted; is there something else I can tell my doctor or just go to a specialist. Thanks Debra
