What Causes Recurrent Cough And Cold Despite Giving DM Cough Syrup?

Hi doctors my son age is 7 years and he is suffering from cold and cough since last week . We are using DM cough syrup and reliant syrup. But he is not recovered from cold and cough please advise me correct to use antibiotic along with the above syrups

Hello,

It can be upper respiratory tract infection.

For that along with cough syrup decongestant and antibiotic can be added.

Levofloxacin like broad-spectrum antibiotic can be prescribed.

Levocetirizine like decongestant also can be prescribed.

Take one tsp turmeric powder with milk daily.

If no improvement than chest x-ray needs to be done for further work up.
