What Causes Recurrent Acne On The Chin, Hand And The Legs?

My 7 year old daughter has what looks like several small pimples on her chin, anywhere from 3-5 at a time. Some go away on their own while other seem to have been there since they first appeared. She popped a couple of them and what comes out is almost like a small piece of skin as opposed to a regular acne pimple. I ve noticed a few more on the lower part of her cheek, one on the back side of her hand, another on her chest and a couple on her legs. I ve considered bringing her to a dermatologist but are these something we should be worried about?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history of acne, my treatment advice is:

1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than 30.
2. Apply a clindamycin gel like Glocin twice daily on affected skin.
3. Other treatment options are oral azithromycin, vitamin supplements taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
