Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having rectal pain especially after I have a bowl movement and I have to urinate a lot and this has been going on for 4 days now it feels like someone put a broom up my rectum its sore and it gets worse every time I go and I have a sensation like it just wants to keep going and its a completely different experience and the rectal pain is making it hard to sit and especially go to the bathroom
It looks like you are suffering from hemorrhoid. Please find the below treatment plan:
1. Eat high-fiber foods. Eat more fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Doing so softens the stool and increases its bulk, which will help you avoid the straining that can worsen symptoms from existing hemorrhoids. Add fiber to your diet slowly to avoid problems with gas.
2. Use topical treatments. Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone, or use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent.
3. Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath. Soak your anal area in plain warm water 10 to 15 minutes two to three times a day. A sitz bath fits over the toilet.
