What Causes Rashes On The Hands And Ankles?

I ve had a rash/rashes that look like hives on the tops of both hands and the inside of both ankles for about 2 months now. They seem to start to go away them come back full force.. very itchy at times. Anti itch cream doesn t seem to help, but an ice pack will. I can t walk or lay around 24/7 with ice packs on all these areas. I takes a daily dose of locations. Sometimes the itching is intense..Tried eczema creams and they only make it burn...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The rashes of 2 months duration mandate underlying viral, fungal or bacterial lesion from various pathogens. I would recommend to consult an expert dermatologist and proceed for the further cure rather than applying OTC basis ointments or creams.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
