What Causes Rashes On The Face, Lips And Neck?

Hello doctor recently i started to develope some rash on my face, the rash even spread to my lips and neck, my scalp is very itchy... i had some hair extensions done which i removed and it went away... so i decided to have my hair done again and bought another weave which i once had before and did not react to... but seems like the burning sensation is back again and my scalp is itching again... shld i take the weave off before i get the rash again or what should I do now... i want to keep my weave though as it was done yesterday and i paid a lot of money please help.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your daughter have symptoms of rashes on the face, lips and neck which seems to be that fact that you are being exposed to the allergen. It could be due to excessive exposure to sunlight also. I would suggest you to take proper course of antihistamine drug along with short course of oral corticosteroids after proper prescription. Wash face with face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid. If condition doesn't get better in a month then consult dermatologist again for proper diagnosis and to rule out any underlying condition . Doctor may prescribe isoteritenoin , steroid ointment or antibiotics course. Drink plenty of water.
