Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Rashes On Stomach And Torso After Treating Pityriasis Rosea?
Hi, about 6 months ago I had a case of Pityriasis Rosea which lasted for about 10 weeks and fully cleared up. For the last week I have had a rash which started on my stomach and is now on my whole torso plus a few dots on my bottom and down my arms. This is very itchy but I am generally well other wise. I have had MS for 20 years now and have Tysabri infusions once every four weeks without consequence. I am taking no other medications.
Though there is no previous history of any consequence after the multiple sclerosis infusion, rashes on stomach and torso with severe itching do point to drug sensitivity (which may appear at any point of time, even after multiple dose infusions). Kindly report the issue with your treating doc for immediate actions and future care to be practiced in selecting next molecule.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
