What Causes Rashes And Blisters All Over Buttocks?

I developed a rash where my butt meets my lower back. Over the course of three days, the rash has spread down one of my butt cheeks, mostly along butt crack, and started to blister. Today I also developed a little cluster on the inside of my thigh. It does not itch or hurt. The day after I noticed the rash starting, a lymph node in my groin was swollen, making it painful to walk. Now the pain has spread to my hip and into my butt check. I have never experienced this before, nor do I have a fever or flu like symptoms. I have no additional shmptoms. I also have not had intercourse for a year and a half. Any ideas?? One doctor immediately said herpes and put me on anti viral drugs, antibiotics, anti fungal cream and steroid cream. No improvements in two days, rash worsening. I was in the Gulf of Mexico the day before I noticed the rash, and sat in a web bathing suit for several hours

Hi,

Your history is classical of herpes although you do not have local irritation, itching or pain as may occur in some patient or your have great pain tolerance. Continue the antiviral and other medicines. Herpes takes a lot of time to heal so do not expect early recovery whatever you do. This being a pressure being area of body, particularly in sitting position you may have to use Doughnut pillow to sit on. Have proper follow up with your doctor. You can certainly have second opinion of a Dermatologist for confirmation and have any additional management. Take multivitamins and minerals.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
