Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 49 year old female. I am gaining weight rapidly especially in my stomach. I religiously(6-7 days a week) exercise doing high intensity spin classes, workout with a trainer once a week and do weights. I watch what I eat ( less than 1200 calories a day) and I m gaining weight rapidly. I m on thyroid medication (under active thyroid) and celexa which I ve been on for 15 years. I ve never had this much trouble with my weight but don t know what else I can do except not eat. What could be the cause?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, some time gaining of weight could be genetically related and may not be having any specific reason or disease, cut down the calorie and do exercise is the way to control this, hope this information helps.
