What Causes Random Bruising On The Feet While On Cortisone Injections?

I have been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. I have had several cortisone injections and taken oral anti inflammatory medication, I also have arch supports and a night brace. It is not improving and I now have bruising on my foot without injury. I m not currently taking anti inflammatory medications and I m not on blood thinners. What would cause this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to local inflammation. As of now, you can take anti-inflammatory drugs like serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If bruises persist, consult a physician and get evaluated to rule out conditions like bleeding disorders.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
