General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A condition called cholestasis with decreased bile flow caused by a blockage of the bile duct can lead to high bilirubin levels.

The blockage of the bile duct can result from the gallstone.

I suggest consulting a surgeon to treat the gallstone through surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
