What Causes Radiating Pain From Hip To Lower Leg Upon Standing?

I have been told that my hip pain originates in the spine, and a nerve trapped by a kink causing vertebrae to bend outwards. The pain runs down the lower left leg. The only relief I get is when I slouch in an armchair. I am 5ft.10ins. tall and not overweight. Could my posture be the problem? Brenda Saunders.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly Welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and I can realize your health worries. Being your physician, I assure you not to worry as I will take care all of your medical concerns.

Posture is also a big factor in causing disc prolapse and impingement on the spinal nerves going to the legs.

Stretching in a wrong way, injury from falls, wrong posture and a lot more reasons are behind the disc prolapse causing the problem. Sit straight at 90 degrees with the back of the chair. Keep legs straight down, and feet on the ground, with legs at 90 degrees with thighs.

You need to consult the neurosurgeon for treatment option available for you.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Any concerns feel free to contact me. If satisfied, please give a five star rating and don't forget to close the discussion.

Have a wonderful time ahead.

Best Regards!
