hi i had got one wound in accident and it was operated by surgen he removed all sands from wound.after that he again made surgery and put out some roots . but now some roots are remains in wound now it is healing slowely and wound is giving puss little bit . now i m confused what should i do ?it would be fine or i have to consult with other doctor

As per your complain if there are some foreign particles still present in the wound they need to be removed as they can cause recurring infection and delay healing of the wound.. You should consult a general surgeon and get evaluated and if required he can remove the roots if required.. As of now you can apply antibiotic ointment over the wound and also clean it with antiseptic solution.. Take a short course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers.. You should also get a tetanus toxoid injection taken.. Avoid exposing the wound to water..
