What Causes Pus Cells In Urine Of A Toddler Post Treatment For Kidney Stones?
Hi My son age was 2 year he has kidny stone problem doctor operate but was mmishandle and urine back flow started we started Urine R/E some time its Puss cell was numerios and RBC was too but now he is ok and Puss cell to 2-4 please suggest me what shall I do I am very upset. at morning puss cell 2 - 4 or 2- 6 but at mid day 1 - 2
It is quite normal to see numerous (full field) pus cells and RBCs on urine examination following stone removal which could be due to stone itself or some infection in the urinary tract.
But no need to worry as it may get subsided by itself and without taking any specific treatment.just drink excess of water.
Also,if your child has pus cells 1 to 2 or 2 to 6 on urinalysis then it is very much normal and no need to worry about it.
Generally,on urine microscopy report 1 to 10 pus cells are considered as a normal and if more than that or full field then it should be some bothersome sign.
Consult your operating nephrologist who will better explain it to you.
