What Causes Pus Cells In The Urine?

Hi , i just wanna ask. I am currently pregnant (3 and a half mos). I ve had my laboratory for urine fourtimes already. The first result says that the pus cells are too many to be counted. So they gave me antibiotics for 1wk and had to do the urine test again. the second results says that the pus cells is between 50-60. they gave me new antibiotics for that as well. then the 3rd result says that the pus cells is bet 20-25 then they asked me to have urine culture and sensitivity. the result for that said NO GROWTH AFTER 2 DAYS OF INCUBATION. and I did the last urine test today still pus cells are present and it s between 25-30. this is kinda frutrating on my part. And i am not having a hard time urinating as well. everythng feels normal. where could these pus cells came from.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
You have been treated for urinary tract infection by administration of antibiotics.
Since following treatment, culture report says there is no growth, it states that the active infection has been cured.
Following this, the tissues would take about a week to ten days to be back to normal and hence you can expect few pus cells to be present in urine.
Drink good quantities of water and take citrus fruit juices regularly to be back to normal soon.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
