What causes purplish spot on the elbow?

I have small purpleish dots on the inside of my elbow. I recently moved into an apartment and had to move all of my stuff by myself, so could these dots be a result of over exersion? or is it something else entirely? I am 21, 140 pounds, 5 5 , and have allergies to grass, trees, and weeds.

Hi,
I understand your concern.
The purpuleish spot on your elbow .seems to follow a hit / trauma to the area in the hustle of shifting. It's due to rupture of subcutaneous tiny blood vessels.. may be slightly painful. Ice pack can be applied to reduce pain/size of the spot immediately after hit.
Don't worry,It will heal over 5-7 days on it's own. At the most few pain killer pills available over the counter can be taken.
Thaks.
