What Causes Purple And Bluish Skin Discoloration Of Hands?
I am a 63 year old female. Approx 2-3 weeks ago while out shopping I noticed that my hands top and bottom were purplish blue. Lasted a few short minutes and went away. Came back 2 or 3 times that day for short periods of time. No pain or swelling. Not cold or sweaty. It has happened twice since then. Should I be concerned? Nothing like this has ever happened before. I haven't seen this since my father passed away a year ago just before he passed. I have had Cardio Ablation for tachycardia in 2008 and have been fine. My BP is usually 118/72.

With history of cardiac elements say tachycardia and have symptoms of change of color of upper arm this need to be little matter of concern, here the Doppler study would be advisable for blood circulation, to ruled out the possibility of any obstruction although chances of this would be so minimal, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
