What Causes Puffy Aching Eyelid?

Hi, i noticed a few days ago when putting eyeshadow on that my right eyelid ached. It looked slightly puffy but not that anyone would notice. After having a shower tonight I lifted my eyelid up to see if I could see anything as it still aches and the white of my eye is swollen - to the side of the eye - but you can only see it when the eyelid is lifted. My husband said it is just eye muscle. I'm really worried now, should I go to the optician in the morning? I am 48 yrs old and wear glasses for short sightedness - just for tv and driving! Thanks, Debra

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, it is safe to go outside after cautetisation. I do not know what the cause of cautetisation is.

If it is for bleeding, then make sure that bleeding does not recur. Rest is fine, do not panic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
