What Causes Protruding Veins In The Right Arm?

I am having swings in resting heart rate. 55-110 bmp I also have veins protruding in my right arm when no veins are present in the left. Have already had a stress test which was good. Had echocardiogram this morning and won t have results for several days. Any thoughts / ideas??

Hello,

Prominent veins (arterialisation) only on one arm (right ) along with tachy-brady arrhythmia points towards the existence of arterio-venous fistula somewhere in the limb vessel in the right arm.

Doppler ultrasonography of the arterial and venous system of RUL may clarify the issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
