What Causes Prominent Veins At The Back Of The Throat?

Hello, I noticed a lot of visible veins in the back of my throat, as well as some odd-looking orange spots. I had a lot of tonsil stones and was able to brush away a good number of them.My throat is not in any pain or anything of the sort. I just noticed that it looked odd once I held a flashlight up to it and am not sure whether it normally looks that way or not.Could it be anything bad? Thanks.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it will be due to conditions like pharyngitis.

As of now, you can try warm saline gargles for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
