What Causes Prolonged Vaginal Spotting While On Birth Control Pill?

I am a 58 year old female and am on birth control pills, which I would like to stop taking. But my immediate question is one that I have not experienced before. I have been spotting everyday since my last period. There is also a slight odor. What could be the cause for this?

you are on menopausal age. better go for pregnancy test.consult gynecologist.sporting in your case may be hormonal and linked to menopause period consult gynecologist and get proper advise
