Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Prolonged Periods And Abdominal Cramps?
I had my first period some time in July and that was nine days and I still haven t had a proper period after that. But I still bleed and sometimes get cramps but it s not like the first one my first one was a nine day steady hard flow with huge cramps. Please tell me what is wrong with me. Thankyou
There is nothing wrong with you. It is quite natural when the menstrual period starts it will take one to two years time to get adjusted. In that period of time irregularity is very common.
Similar kind of problem occurs when the menstrual period about to stop at the age of 40-45yrs.
Be careful whenever there is a longer delay with sexual intercourse, don't forget to check a pregnancy test. Cramps during menses are quite common and intensity of cramps vary from person to person.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
