What Causes Prolonged Menstrual Bleeding Despite Being On Mini Pill?

I've been on the mini-pill for almost 6 months and it's as if I'm continuously menstruating. Sometimes, there will be a week or two when I'm not bleeding, but then I'll bleed for a month straight. I've had to take iron supplements just to keep myself healthy. Should I opt for non-hormonal birth control?

Usually mini pills cause scanty bleeding..
You can undergo a hormonal analysis to see if anything is wrong and an ultrasound too for any organic causes..
It's good that you are taking iron preparations and continue taking them till evaluation is done...
After coming to a conclusion about the cause of bleeding you can decide upon changing the contraceptives as the mini pills are known to be safe..
