My granddaughter is 13 months old. The last four nights she has awaken between 1am - 4am projectile vomiting. My daughter and son in law took her to ER last night and weren t told much other than to give her a probiotic and follow up with primary care physician....

This may be hypertrophic pylorus which is common condition in this age and it should be treated in hospital and you should see pediatric surgeon for further treatment. This is worst case,and in many other there is just milk intolerance or viral gastritis. it should be in every case treated by professional.
