What Causes Pressure Sensation In The Neck Area?

I have a pressure sensation in my neck, it is on both sides. When I bend over, the pressure in my neck and head increases. I do not have headaches, my BP is stable on Doxizosin and Carvedilol BID. I have a history of Lupus Anticoagulant and have had a pulmonary embolism about 10 yrs ago. I am on Warfarin for lifetime. My questions is what kind of physician to start with. My concern is pulmonary hypertension- I need to find a new primary - long story but I used to work for my primary care MD and sometimes I feel too much of my apt time is spent just chit chatting and my concerns not addressed. My rheumatologist is ok-but not a real easy person to talk to. I also have been feeling a little short of breath and very tired- but I attribute that to being overweight, out of shape and I work about 55 hours a week. I know, I am a mess!

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

The nerves and muscles in the neck can cause pain in the head. Sometimes pressure or pain appears in both the head and the neck. This can be caused by headaches, such as tension headaches or migraines. Other causes include whiplash, muscle strain, and concussions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
