hello. I am a heavy drinker who has just stopped drinking four days ago. I have developed pressure just below my belt line, It feels like i need to pass gas. The pressure increases after a meal and decreases after rest. my urine is darker, between yellow and brown. I have a slight urge to urinate most of the time. there is no discharge and my feces are a light brown color. I have no fever and am feeling better overall since the stoppage of alcohol. Any ideas?
I went through your details. As you mention, if you stop alcohol, the initial days will see acidity and gastric derangement and digestive problems in the body. That happens because of the confused enzymes which helps in digestion within your stomach. This is a better sign. You just have the acidity symptom and no withdrawal symptoms like tremors. In such a case, you can carry on with your quitting alcohol bonanza. Take care. Resist cravings, if any, with the help of exercises, physical work and cold water bath.
