What Causes Pressure In The Rectum?

I have been experiencing rectal pressure and some days are worse than others. I had a colonoscopy in 2012, all good there. I am 60 years old, do not engage in sexual activity. I have had some burning, perhaps a hemroid, and treated with preparation H and tucks. Seems to have relived those symptoms, but still experience the pressure.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a gastroenterologist and plan for a colonoscopy.

We have to rule out possible causes like hemorrhoids or any lump or tumor.

As of now, you can try laxatives like Lactulose for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
