Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pressure Behind Nose And Eyes Post Bilateral Inferior Turbinate Reduction?
Hi, I ve had problems in my sinuses all my life and had bilateral inferior turbinate reduction and septoplasty a couple of years ago. I can breathe well now (thankfully!!) but I ve been having waves of pressure behind my nose and eyes. I have no real pain with this nor any congestion but it s quite bothersome and is giving me a headache. Any ideas what this could be?
After the surgery of bilateral inferior turbinate reduction, pressure behind nose and eyes could be in relation with sinus congestion or other healing issue at the operated part. In my clinic, after thorough clinical examination of the system, I do recommend MRI of the region in selected patients to get into the structural and anatomical details of the part and figure out further line of action and care.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
