I collapsed with Influenza B (diagnosed in hospital overnight stay in emerency on the 1 July 2017. Sick for several weeks. Under doctor and was suffering low iron etc. Doctor took eight weeks to get me well and then three weeks ago I seemed to develop what felt like a sinus infection. Went to doc and he prescrived antibiotics for two weeks as he felt my cheek bones which hurt. Two weeks later still no relief. Went to him last week and he prescrived anti fungal gel tablets to suck three times a day. I have two days left and another script to go. I have this persistent feeling in my right nostril as if there is something stuck in the hole that leads into the sinus cavity (at least that is what it feels like). I have been having vick steam inhalation and also using a chinese method to clear my sinus from Youtube breating through the nostrils etc., in a certain methodology. This seems to help a little. Bought Codral Day and Night tablets (new formula) today to see if they worked and can t take them as feeling dreadful on the codeine within them. Chemist sugested I flush my sinus s out but I am retitcent to do that. I had a deviated septum in 2001 from falling against wheel of tractor and had my nose rebuit inside. Never suffered any problems until this last period of the flue which I thought had cleared up but then this suddenly started. I feel like there is something stuck in my right nostril and pressure areound the opening to the sinus inside the nostril. My septum feels OK inside but I worried that it had deviated again? Doc said my nose appears perfectly straight but he could refer me to a ENT specialist to check me out if the fungus tablets don t work. What is your suggeston.
