Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 3 year old son passed a rather big (50p) mucusy blob in his urine which looked brown-sandy coloured. I noticed it in his potty during his middle of the night wee. The GP did a dip-stick test which showed infection so she asked for a fresh sample to be sent to lab. I m a bit concerned as to what this could be as boys don t normally get UTIs? I ve been monitoring his wees today and they appear normal. Otherwise he s a bit under the weather but no other symptoms.
I reviewed your history. These symptoms indicate urinary tract infection. This requires investigations by urine culture and sensitivity and treatment by the use of appropriate antibiotics.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Thank you
