I have a mirena IUD and have had it in for aprox. 3 years now. I haven t had a period in over 2 years, but I am starting to have pregnancy symptoms. I have gained weight, close to 10 lbs. and I can t account for that wait gain as I am very active and workout regularly and eat relatively well. The weight gain is only in my stomach area and I now have what looks like a prominent baby bump. I am feeling nauseous, more tired then normal, urinating more and experiencing some back pain. I ve taken 2 home tests and one doctors urine test and they all come back negative. I am concerned that I am pregnant because I don t feel right/normal yet the tests are saying negative and I feel like I am losing my mind. I have been reading about cryptic pregnancies and that the mirena can upset the hormonal balance and make it harder to detect. Unsure of how to proceed at this point in time.
