General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have a history of having suffered from bee bite, taken Benadryl and now having pounding heart beat. It can be a side effect of Benadryl, you need not worry. Do not take any more Benadryl. You are suggested to just relax, take adequate sleep and stay well hydrated and well fed (take nutritious home made food).

Relaxation helps to fix anxiety and panic attacks. Listen to music, do painting and regular walking and exercise. Maintain healthy weight at all cost. You are suggested to get a cardiac check up done to be at a safer side. Get Lipid function tests and stress tests done to detect any developing CAD.

You can take antacids and PPI's, sometimes acid reflux or gastritis may also cause the heart to pound. The earlier its detected the quicker the treatment can be started. The treatment will depend on the pathology detected and your clinical condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
