What Causes Positive Pregnancy Result After Treating An Ectopic Pregnancy?

Hello I had an ectopic pregnancy June 3 which in result of removal of one tube and after everything was over I had a cycle June11 scheduled cycle was June 7, not including i haven t missed a period and during my ectopic my pregnancy test read negative. Now I have taken 4 tests in a week and they all read positive and the nurse at the doctors office thinks its from the ectopic pregnancy . i need answers!!!!!

Although there is a chance of a new pregnancy the serum beta hcg level may remain positive for even 24days after removal of ectopic. In early 3-4 days the level can even rise and then falls gradually. Some cases hCG testing continues for weeks to months until it drops to a low level. But if the hCG titer gradually increasing for even a week a special attention should be needed as there may be a chance of retaining viable product of pregnancy. Ultrasound should be done to check if there is any abnormalities.
