Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I popped my wrist out of place 8 days ago, I ve had it stabilized in a brace. Today I went to urgent care and it s not broken or dislocated anymore. I have to go to an ortho in a week to find out why my wrist pops loudly when it s bent and why I can t feel the top of my thumb and starting in another finger too... Any thoughts on what this could be? Like what I could expect when I go to my ortho?
Hi Welcome to healhcaremagic After going through your query I concluded that you may be having sprain wrist. It is most likely that you got swelling in your wrist which is pressing on median nerve leading to numbness in thumb and other finger. You need clinical examination and MRI to further assess you. Mecobalamin gives relief in neurogenic pain. You can discuss your doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. You can also write to me directly on below link: https://www.bit.ly/askdrsudhirortho Wishing you good health. Take care.
