What Causes Plusation On The Vein In The Thumb Muscle?

Hi, the vein on the thumb muscle on my right palm pulsates, especially when I am writing a lot. The vein is bulging out visibly. It hurts and, as a college student, it makes it difficult to do homework/take tests since it gets worse when I write. Any thoughts to relive pain so I can study?

Hello,

Usually, the vein may won't cause pulsation unless having av fistula or vein lying over the artery etc. So don't worry please post a photo or show to your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
