What Causes Placenta Praevia During Pregnancy?

I am 32 years old, 16 weeks pregnant and I have placenta previa. I m bleeding today and yesterday. I do have pain on my lower belly but not constant. My provider said there s nothing they can do and that this is normal with placenta previa. The bleeding does stop but occurs the next day. Question is, is this normal or should I seek other medical attention else where? Thank you

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the placenta previa detected, although it is very less likely in 16 week of gestation, as the gestational period or age increases placenta goes high up in most of the cases, but here bleeding is more matter of concern, and care need to be taken for miscarriage, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
