What Causes Pink Discoloration In The Hands And Fingers Of An Infant?

A seven month old child has notable and to some degree a darker pink, coloring from the external segments of the phalanges of both hands, and the rest of the fingers and the hand (metacarpal joints) and tissue appears normal and to some extent the great toe as well, in otherwise an actively growing otherwise healthy child. Does not see to present as Raynauds which in my experience the outer segments or fingers turn white. Any thoughts? Thanks

Hello,

Baby colour may change pink, blue, purple or white.

If the baby cries then purple-reddish, cold periphery then blue, warm periphery may purple to pink. Also, check for cyanotic heart disease if baby turn blue on cry then pink. Keep the periphery warm. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
