What Causes Persistent Vaginal Spotting And Urge To Urinate While On Mirena IUD?
I had the Merina IUD placed 2 weeks ago. I have been continuously spotting and cramping and now I have the urge to urinate all the time and I don t have good bladder control (I pee if I cough or laugh).I have been taking Tylenol and even Ibuprofen and nothing helps

I have read your query and understand the concern regarding vaginal spotting with urge to urinate on Mirena IUD.
Spotting or breakthrough bleeding is a quite COMMON phenomena for initial 1-3 months.So,I would not be personally worried about this and urge to urinate could be due to this IUD which can also be normally seen after IUD insertion.
Side effects include expulsion, pelvic inflammatory disease or infection, spotting or irregular menstrual pattern. It has also greater risk of ectopic pregnancy.
But if it remains persistent or amount of bleed exceeds from usual then you need to get a pelvic ultrasound done because this can be a normal period or some damage due to IUD insertion inside uterus.
In that case, you must visit to your gynecologist for pelvic examination and proper management.
In addition, you should maintain genital hygiene and check the thread periodically.
Meanwhile continue to take tylenol and ibuprofen for symptomatic relief.
