What Causes Persistent Twitching Of The Muscles?

I occasionally have what looks like a brightly lit yellow caterpillar crawling from top left to bottom left peripheral vision, plus some other odd symptoms (not visual). Eye exam ruled out any eye problems such as retinal tears. I m also getting muscle twitches throughout the day, all over my body. Any ideas?
