What Causes Persistent Throat Clearing?

I had a cold last week in December, the symptoms went away but I have been dealing with having to clear my throat from mucus and my voice is clear and then sounds nasal/hoarse then when I clear my throat it is clear again. This goes on throughout the day. I don t have a sore throat, no stuffy nose, no known allergies and I don t smoke. The mucus is mostly clear but the consistentcy of egg white. I feel fine otherwise however I can hear/feel sloshing in my ears once in awhile.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You are having an allergic rhinosinusitis. It is irritating your nasal mucosa and oropharyngeal wall which is producing the clear mucus. You need to start an antiallergic tablet Levocetrizine at bedtime for 3 week. Give nasal spray twice daily x 3 week. Take tablet Pantoprazole once daily before breakfast for 1 month. It will be better to take steam inhalation through mouth and nose thrice daily x 1 month.
