What Causes Persistent Swelling In Ankles And Feet While Having Diabetes?

I have Type 2 Diabetes, I have a constant problem with swelling of my ankles and feet. My right leg has had in the past, the removal my lymph glands due to Malignant Melanoma in 1984. The swelling has increased and basically stays the same, even after a good nights sleep.

Hello,

It could be dependent edema. Other causes like renal dysfunction or hypoalbuminemia must be ruled out.

Consult a physician and get evaluated. A renal function test and albumin assay is also required.
