What Causes Persistent Swelling After Surgery For Osteochondritis

I have Osteochondritis and had surgery 4 months ago on my left knee. I have two lesions in my weightbearing area. I still have swelling, and I m just now being told to try weightbearing walking with, and without, crutches. I don t feel pain but I m getting snapping when i straighten, in a relaxed position, or when walking. And my Orthopedic Surgeon has refused to give me a follow up xray or MRI, when he said he would at 3 months! Is any of this normal healing, or response, from an Orthopedic doctor?

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
