What Causes Persistent Subdermal Hematoma And Pain In Head Post Trauma?

Dear doctor I hit my right side of my head looking for my wallet and cellphone in the car. I was stressed out and I whipped my head around fast and hit it on the a pillar of the car on the inside. I had swelling on the right side of my head and I still have a subdermal hematoma. Subsequently I had a concussion but never lost consciousness . This occurred on December 27 2015. What concerns me is the side of my head still hurts and the subdermal hematoma is still there. The concussion symptoms have cleared but the hematoma is still there. Doctor when will this clear?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the even is creating doubt then it need to be sent for investigation and ideally such injury should always be sent for investigations even in absence of any symptoms, as long as the swelling is concern and if it is due to hematoma then no need to worry about this, but infection needs to be taken care hope this information helps.
