What Causes Persistent Sore Throat Despite Taking Antibiotics?

I am currently on Antibiotics for a sinus infection. I ve feel better, as far as the sinus infection, but now my throat is so sore. I called my Dr back and he gave me another 5 days worth of antibiotics. it s been about 7 days with the sore throat, Why can t I shake this sore throat?

See sore throat usually takes 5-7 days to recover so you need not to worry much. I will say continue antibiotics as suggested by your doctor. But along with you have to take some decongestants like wikoryl or diominic-dca. You can take syrup bro-zedex or syrup asthakind 8-12 hourly for soothing of your throat. You have to do salt water gargles and steam inhalation as it will reduce the congestion and soreness of your throat.
