Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain ringing in ears along with a history of having cold can be due to ear infection or there can also be perforation in the
eardrum secondary to infection that can cause ringing..
While other causes includes
inner ear infection, Meniere's Disease, side effects of medicines,
high blood pressure, jaw joint problems like TMJ or TMD, allergies etc..
But in your case infection seems to be most probable cause..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Otoscopy, MRI SCAN,
x ray,
Audiometry etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to take treatment for infection and fluid accumulation behind ear drum like antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers and decongestant nasal drops..
Antibiotic er drops can be given..
You can also be advised tricyclic anti depressants like Amitryitiline and drugs like Alprazolam..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
