General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the intermittent pain onset involving upper chest particularly following exercise indicates possible muscle spasm issue on recurrent basis or ligament sprain commonly. Guidelines for better recovery:
- Local application of analgesic gel with contents of diclofenac, linseed oil or other medications as capsaicin
- Analgesic and anti inflammatory medicines as etoricoxib after meals if no history of drug sensitivity
- MRI of the concerned region may be future need if condition persists or deteriorate

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
