What Causes Persistent Pain In Right-sided Abdomen And Excessive Burping?

My husband has suffered with right side pain (under ribs, radiating to back right shoulder blade area) for years....he was worked up a long time ago for gallstones and none were noted on the ultrasound....he never did the hidascan (pardon the spelling if incorrect). It comes and goes but the last few days has been quite significant and he is also burping a lot and that seems to relieve the pain momentarily. This is concerning me. Any guidance? Thank you!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, right now the given nature of pain may not be due to gall stone but the pain seems to be due to some muscular spasm and it can be managed with any muscle relaxant orally or locally, if the gall stone very much suspected then it is better to get done the ultrasonography and other test hope this information helps.
