What Causes Persistent Pain In Lower Left Side Of Thigh?

Trying to decide if I should seek medical care on this holiday eve. I have had aching pain in my lower left thigh for 24 hours. I looked up all the symptoms of DVT online and other than pain, I have no other symptoms: no swelling, redness, areas warm to the touch. I was just getting up from the floor cleaning and had a sharp sudden pain. Worried about DVT although I have no reason for onset other than being overweight. No recent travel or anything. Anything I should look for to indicate a problem?

Hi,
I understand your query & concern.
The pain you have in your left thigh ( lower part ) can be either-
- simple sprain due to sudden movement of getting up.
-Nerve compression at local level/ spinal level.. you need an orthopedic doctor';s consultation to differentiate.
- Till then.. rest/ hot or cold pack/NSAID pills to relieve pains.would help you.
Thanks.
