What Causes Persistent Pain In Lower Back And Legs?
I have been experiencing pain in my lower back and legs - especially knees for the past 6 months...sudden onset..I m a 68 year old female - in general good health other than this pain. Can you recommend a pain medication to eleviate this pain please?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have persistent pain in lower back and legs . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sciatica pain , lumbar disc herniation or lumbar degenerative disc disease . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and vitamin supplement for quick healing . Doctor may also recommend particular stretching exercises . For now apply warm compresses to back and leg , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take proper rest .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
