Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a headache most of the day and now that I am lying down trying to go to sleep I feel the left side of my head, near my ear, pulsating. It is not painful but it is annoying. I feel it whether I lay on that side or on my back. Should I be concerned?
The persistent pain over one side of head with interference with sleep may be part of migraine disorder in majority of the cases. Primary relief with: - Plenty of liquids - Caffeine items as coffee or else - Avoid triggers as stress, anxiety, work burden - Deep breathing exercises and YOGA - Walking in fresh air - Analgesic as tramadol hydrochloride with meals, preferably with antacid - Specific therapy of ergotamine or others need consulting with your doctor
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
